Acute Rehabilitation Services
Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital | (530) 886-6686
Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital's Acute Rehabilitation Unit has been providing exceptional care to Auburn, Sacramento and surrounding communities since 1986. Our program is designed for individuals who have experienced significant impairment due to catastrophic illness or injury such as:
- Neurological deficits (stroke, brain injury, Guillain Barre, brain tumors, exacerbation of Multiple Sclerosis, etc.)
- Complicated orthopedic problems such as trauma, resulting in multiple injuries or amputations
- Spinal cord dysfunction
- Medically complex conditions that result in a debilitated state
Through a personalized, intensive and highly coordinated multidisciplinary inpatient program, our rehabilitation team strives to help patients achieve optimal physical functioning in their daily lives. Our rehabilitation team consists of a rehabilitation physician specialist (called a physiatrist), rehabilitation managers, registered rehabilitation nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, medical social worker, discharge planner, dietitian and admissions coordinator.
The whole-health approach we offer at Sutter Auburn Faith addresses the physical, mental, emotional and social recovery needs of both the patient and their family members. Our goal is to help people regain the level of function and independence needed to return home or to a community-living arrangement.
Admission Criteria
Admission to our acute rehabilitation program is based on four central components:
- Qualifying diagnosis
